Our Rules and Values

At Team Boringdon, we want every child to feel that they belong and to develop the knowledge, character and confidence needed to thrive. Our school rules guide how children behave each day, while our values help shape the people they become.

Through living these rules consistently, children develop our Team Boringdon values of:

Being kind develops kindness.

Being respectful develops respect and responsibility.

Being their best helps children develop resilience and excellence.

These qualities support children to make positive choices, build strong relationships, respond constructively to challenges and take pride in their learning and achievements. 

Our approach is rooted in a simple philosophy:

Belonging → Behaviour → Values → Character

We believe that children thrive when they feel accepted, valued and part of their community. Positive behaviours then become habits. These habits develop into values and, over time, those values shape character.

Our values are explicitly taught and brought to life through our Team Boringdon Character Curriculum, assemblies, classroom learning and opportunities for leadership, service and contribution. Children are encouraged not only to understand our values, but also to demonstrate them through their words, actions and everyday choices.

Our ambition is for every child to leave Boringdon Primary School as a kind, respectful, responsible and resilient young person who strives for excellence, contributes positively to the community and is well prepared for the next stage of their life.
