At Boringdon, we believe that every child should feel that they belong, that they are known and valued, and that they can achieve great things. We are a happy, caring and ambitious school where children are encouraged to develop a love of learning, grow in confidence and become thoughtful, responsible members of their community.

We have high expectations for every child. Through a carefully planned, knowledge-rich curriculum and high-quality teaching, we help pupils build the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to succeed. We want children to be curious, to think deeply, to communicate confidently and to see themselves as capable learners. We recognise that every child is different so we work hard to identify and remove barriers to learning ensuring that all pupils can participate, feel successful and flourish.

Our work extends beyond academic achievement. Through our Team Boringdon Character Curriculum, assemblies, lessons, pupil leadership, service and wider school experiences, children learn what it means to live out our values of belonging, kindness, respect, responsibility, resilience and excellence. We help pupils develop positive relationships, make responsible choices, understand the wider world and contribute positively to life in modern Britain. 

Children’s happiness, safety and wellbeing are central to everything we do. We create clear routines, consistent expectations and supportive relationships so that pupils feel secure and ready to learn. Our approach is based on knowing our children well, listening to them and working closely with families. 

We are proud of our inclusive school community. We celebrate difference, promote mutual respect and ensure that every child has opportunities to contribute and be heard. We are particularly committed to supporting children who may face additional barriers, while maintaining high expectations for what every pupil can achieve.
