Pastoral Care
At Boringdon Primary School, we believe that every child deserves to feel happy, safe, valued and supported. We know that positive mental health and wellbeing are fundamental to children's personal development, academic achievement and future success.
Promoting health and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. Through our curriculum, pastoral support and everyday interactions, we help children develop resilience, self-belief, confidence and the skills needed to navigate life's challenges. We are committed to creating an environment where children feel listened to, supported and empowered to thrive.
Our approach also supports pupils' social, moral, spiritual and cultural development, helping them build positive relationships, understand themselves and others, and become confident members of their community.
The information and resources in this section of our website are designed to offer practical support, guidance and ideas for parents and carers. Whether you are looking for advice on a particular concern, ways to support your child's wellbeing at home, or information about additional services and organisations, we hope you will find these resources helpful.
By working together, we can ensure that every child develops the confidence, resilience and wellbeing they need to flourish both in school and beyond.
The Padlet
The Pastoral Team at Boringdon are keen to offer as much support to families as possible. To help us do this we have developed an online resource. It is called a Padlet. The Padlet offers suggestions if you are finding things tricky or need a bit of extra support. Scroll down the columns to find links to resources, courses, advice and activities. Zones Of Regulation
At Boringdon Primary School, we recognise the importance of promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing. We sometimes use the Zones of Regulation resources to teach children to identify emotions in themselves and others and provide them with bank of strategies to help regulate their emotions and improve their wellbeing. The Zones of Regulation are a helpful approach to use at home to support your child to self-regulate.
Please see below for some information regarding Zones of Regulation:
