The main school was opened in 1975 as a one form entry i.e. seven classes. Since then the number of children attending Boringdon has doubled and we now have fourteen classes. There are eight classrooms in the main building for Years R, 1, 2 and 3, and Years 4, 5 and 6 are in our separate adjacent classroom buildings. These new buildings provide these year groups with a complete teaching unit comprising classrooms, outside learning areas, group work-space, cloakrooms and toilets.

Additionally, there is a hall, used for assemblies, PE lessons and midday meals/lunches, and an Computing Suite. The School Office, Head Teacher’s and Business Manager’s offices and Staff Room are situated off the main entrance foyer. We have a small dedicated SEN area where specialists and staff can provide additional support for our children. We also have a separate double classroom building which is used for before and after school childcare, music lessons and additional work with groups of children. We have three playgrounds, outside quiet areas, a playing field and conservation area with a pond, within the school site.
