The main school was opened in 1975 as a one form entry i.e. seven classes. Since then the number of children attending Boringdon has doubled and we now have 14 classes. There are 8 class rooms in the main building for years R,1 2 and 3, and years 4,5 and 6 are in our separate adjacent new classroom buildings. The new buildings provide these year groups with a complete teaching unit comprising classrooms, outside learning areas, group workspace, cloakrooms and toilets.

Additionally, there is a hall, used for assemblies, P E lessons and mid-day meals/lunches, and an ICT suite. The School Office, Head Teacher’s and Business Manager’s offices and Staff Room are situated off the main entrance foyer. We have a small dedicated SEN area where specialists and staff can provide additional support for our children. We also have a separate double classroom building which is used for before and after school childcare, music lessons and additional work with groups of children. We have three playgrounds, outside quiet areas, a playing field and conservation area with a pond within the school site.
