Pupil Premium

IMPORTANT UPDATE – Boringdon receives Pupil Premium Award 2015

We are pleased to confirm that Boringdon has been selected to receive a pupil premium award in recognition of the work we do to to ensure the attainment and progress of our children. Boringdon is one of 2 schools selected in Plymouth, 29 across the South West and 429 across the country in our category. Congratulations to our pupils for their hard work which has allowed us to receive this award. A copy of the letter from Rt Hon David Laws MP ( Minister of State for Schools) can be downloaded below.
Pupil Premium has been allocated to schools to help to ensure all children regardless of their family income have the same opportunity to achieve. At Boringdon Primary School we provide education for all children through appropriate differentiation, resources and facilities (if possible). All children’s needs are considered and the full range of flexible responses are made available to accommodate and value their diversity.

During the 2012/13 financial year we received £29,759 pupil premium funding - £667 for each child who has ever been entitled to Free School Meals and £250 for each service child. During the 2013/14 financial year pupil premium funding increased to £42,900.

During the 2014/15 financial year we expect to receive £59,400 pupil premium (£1,300 for children entitled to free school meals, £300 for service children and £1,900 for children adopted from care).
